These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the KODITVBOX website, KTB applications, subscription services, and installation and technical support services (together, the “Service”). “KODITVBOX,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service under the KODITVBOX name. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
In brief: KTB is an app downloading, signing, and installation tool. We maintain a directory of third-party app links, but do not provide movies, television programmes, channels, streams, or subscriptions to third-party media services. Paying for KODITVBOX does not purchase rights to third-party apps or media.
1. Agreement and eligibility
Please read these Terms before creating an account, purchasing a subscription, enrolling a device, or using KTB. Where acceptance is requested, you must accept before proceeding. If you do not agree, do not proceed with the affected Service. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and own, or have the owner’s permission to manage, the device you use.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Acceptance of these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for optional processing of personal information.
2. What KODITVBOX provides
Depending on your device, subscription, and available features, the Service provides app discovery through a maintained directory, downloading from external sources, on-device signing, installation assistance, updates, and technical support. Some installations use device registration, signing certificates, provisioning profiles, and Mobile Device Management (“MDM”).
KODITVBOX does not host third-party app packages as part of the KTB directory. Packages are downloaded from external repositories or locations selected by the user. We may host and distribute our own KTB application, configuration profiles, installation manifests, and service-related files.
We do not provide media content, streaming servers, stream URLs, IPTV playlists, decryption keys, or credentials for third-party entertainment services. We do not provide or support configurations intended to obtain content without authorization.
3. Third-party apps, directory listings, and licences
Directory entries are selected and maintained by KODITVBOX; they are links to independent projects, not a representation that those projects are affiliated with us. An app being publicly accessible, listed on GitHub, or described as open source does not mean that every use, copy, modification, or redistribution is permitted.
A listing, download, signature, installation, or successful launch does not grant a copyright licence or confirm an app’s security, legality, compatibility, or suitability. Review the applicable project licence and third-party terms before use. You are responsible for obtaining any required app licences, media rights, accounts, and paid subscriptions.
Third-party software remains subject to its own licence. These Terms do not take away rights you have under an applicable open-source licence. Unless expressly stated, KODITVBOX is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Kodi/XBMC, GitHub, or the developers of listed apps. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
4. Your responsibilities and prohibited use
You must use the Service in accordance with applicable local law, copyright law, software licences, platform rules, and third-party terms. You are responsible for the apps you select or import and the sources, content, accounts, and settings you use inside those apps.
You must not use the Service to:
- Download, distribute, stream, or otherwise use apps or media without the required authorization.
- Unlawfully bypass DRM, technical protection measures, payment requirements, or access restrictions.
- Install malware, obtain unauthorized access to a device or account, or interfere with the Service or another person’s rights.
- Share or misuse another person’s device identity, subscription, private signing credentials, or activation information.
- Request assistance locating unauthorized media sources or configuring apps for infringement.
We may refuse requests for prohibited assistance and investigate credible reports of misuse. These rules do not prohibit activities that applicable law expressly protects and does not allow us to restrict.
5. Device registration, signing, and installation
Device registration and installation may require identifiers such as your UDID, device model, operating system version, and subscription ID. Registration may involve Apple’s developer services and the developer account used to provision your device. Signing and installation remain subject to platform verification and certificate and provisioning restrictions.
KTB may download authorized signing credentials to your device and cache them for on-device signing. Do not export, share, sell, or use service-provided credentials outside their authorized purpose. Signing is not a security audit or a grant of rights in the app being signed.
Certificates and provisioning profiles may expire or be revoked. Apps may stop opening, and you may need to reinstall KTB and affected apps. Operating system changes, developer account restrictions, app changes, storage limits, and network conditions can affect availability. We do not promise perpetual access to any particular third-party app or signing certificate.
For local-file installations, your device may temporarily serve an IPA to the system installer. Wi-Fi import may open a temporary upload page on your local network. Use a trusted network, do not publicly forward the upload port or share the upload address, and stop the upload service when finished.
6. MDM and important removal risks
On supported devices, you may be asked to install an MDM enrollment profile. Review the permissions displayed by the operating system before installing it. Enrollment authorizes the management relationship described by that profile, including supported app installation, configuration, and status queries. MDM capability is determined by the installed profile and the platform; these Terms do not reduce the permissions shown by the operating system.
Removing the MDM profile can automatically remove KTB, other managed apps, and their locally stored data. Whether an app is removed depends on how it was installed and managed. An app that remains after unenrollment may no longer be managed and may still stop working when its signing authorization expires. Re-enrolling does not guarantee that retained apps will automatically become managed again.
Deleting an IPA file from KTB’s Library is different from uninstalling the app from your device. Reinstalling or updating an app with the same bundle identifier may replace an existing installation. Duplicate installation is not supported by every app or signing profile.
Back up important data before removing profiles, reinstalling, updating, or changing device registration. Do not assume that KODITVBOX can restore third-party app data. Removing KTB or a profile does not by itself cancel recurring billing or delete server-side account records.
7. Subscriptions, payment, and cancellation
Your purchase covers the KODITVBOX services described at checkout, not ownership of third-party apps, media, or a third-party streaming subscription. Device limits, price, currency, taxes, billing interval, and any renewal arrangement are those disclosed for your order. A single-device subscription may not be shared across multiple devices unless the purchased plan permits it.
Payments are processed through PayPal or Stripe. If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize the disclosed recurring charges until cancellation. Manage your subscription through My Account, the applicable payment-provider controls, or contact us for help. Cancellation normally stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, unless your order terms or applicable law provide otherwise.
Uninstalling an app, removing an MDM profile, or submitting a privacy deletion request is not a substitute for cancelling a subscription. If you want both cancellation and deletion, tell us explicitly so we can address both requests.
8. 60-day refund policy
We retain a 60-day refund request period from the date of the initial purchase, subject to the conditions below. This is a service-delivery policy, not an unconditional guarantee of the continued availability of every third-party app.
- Contact [email protected] or submit a support ticket within 60 days of your initial purchase. Include your order reference and a description of the problem, but do not send payment-card details or private signing keys.
- We may ask for reasonable, safe troubleshooting information and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You do not need to disclose unrelated personal information or provide unrestricted access to your device.
- A refund will be provided under this policy if the purchased Service was not delivered as described and we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time after receiving the information reasonably needed to investigate.
- This voluntary policy does not ordinarily cover a problem caused solely by unsupported equipment, user-controlled network restrictions, the independent removal or failure of a third-party app, requests for prohibited activity, or refusal to cooperate with reasonable troubleshooting. These exclusions do not apply where we failed to meet our own promises or where applicable law requires a remedy.
The 60-day period relates to the initial purchase; it does not restart automatically with each renewal. Any additional refund rights disclosed at checkout remain applicable. Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method, subject to payment-provider processing times.
Nothing in this policy restricts statutory cancellation or refund rights, or your right to raise a legitimate dispute with PayPal, Stripe, your card issuer, a regulator, or a court. Contacting us first may help resolve an issue, but is not a condition for exercising a non-waivable right.
9. Service changes, suspension, and termination
We may change directory listings and technical features, or temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, suspected misuse, or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible, we will explain a material restriction and provide a way to contact us about it. Immediate action may be necessary to protect users or comply with law.
If we discontinue a paid Service or cannot deliver it as promised, your contractual and statutory remedies remain available. Termination does not automatically justify retaining payment for undelivered services or retaining personal information without a continuing lawful purpose.
10. Availability and limits of liability
Third-party apps and external services are outside our control. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. This does not exclude obligations concerning the KODITVBOX services actually promised to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, KODITVBOX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. To that same extent, our total aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid KODITVBOX in the preceding 12 months and CAD $100.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability, warranty, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing requires you to waive mandatory privacy or consumer protections.
11. Copyright concerns and complaints
If you believe a KODITVBOX page or directory listing infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the subject “Copyright Concern.” Identify the work and your authority to act, provide the exact KODITVBOX URL or listing, explain the concern, and include contact details. Please provide accurate information and do not include unnecessary personal information.
We will assess sufficiently detailed reports and may restrict or remove a listing where appropriate. Removing a link does not remove a file from an independent repository; concerns about the externally hosted file may also need to be directed to its host. Nothing here represents that any particular statutory notice procedure applies to every report.
12. Governing law and your rights
Subject to mandatory laws that apply to you, these Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes may be brought in the competent courts in Toronto, Ontario, except where applicable law gives you a right to proceed elsewhere. We do not require mandatory arbitration or a waiver of a legally protected class proceeding.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent lawful. A failure to enforce a provision is not a permanent waiver of it.
13. Updates and the online version
The full, current published Terms are available at www.koditvbox.tv/terms-conditions/. In-app notices are summaries, not a replacement for the applicable full Terms. Where a summary differs, the full Terms that lawfully apply to your agreement take precedence, subject to mandatory law.
We will identify revisions by updating the date on this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel and, where required, presented for renewed acceptance. Posting revised Terms does not by itself override rights relating to an earlier purchase, retroactively remove accrued rights, or replace consent required by law.
