Nuvio is a newer media app with a clean, modern interface. KTB installs it on your Apple TV, iPhone or iPad and keeps it signed while your subscription is active – no computer and no jailbreak required.
What is Nuvio?
Nuvio is an open-source media app built by independent developers. It focuses on a simple, good-looking browsing experience and is under active development, so new features and changes arrive regularly. Check the developer’s release notes for what is new in each version.
KTB is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Nuvio developers. We install the app and keep it working on your Apple device.
Supported devices and requirements
- Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD running tvOS 16 or later
- iPhone and iPad running iOS / iPadOS 16 or later
- An active KTB subscription – one subscription covers one device
Install Nuvio with KTB in three steps
- Choose a plan. Start with the KTB subscription (a free-trial option is available).
- Set up KTB on your device. Follow the KTB Setup Guide to install the KTB management profile and accept the KTB app installation.
- Install Nuvio. Open KTB, select Nuvio and choose Download & Install. When it finishes, Nuvio appears on your Home Screen.
Signing in
If you use an account inside Nuvio, sign in from the app’s settings after installing. On Apple TV, your iPhone usually shows a keyboard notification when a text field is active, so you can type on the phone instead of with the Siri Remote.
Updating Nuvio
Because Nuvio is developing quickly, updates are more frequent than for Kodi or Stremio. When a new version is ready for Apple devices, KTB offers it as an update: open KTB, select Nuvio and choose Update. If something looks different after an update, it is usually a change made by the Nuvio developers rather than a problem with your installation.
Troubleshooting Nuvio
- Nuvio says it is no longer available or will not open. Check that your subscription is active in My Account, then reinstall Nuvio from KTB. See Troubleshooting.
- Nuvio crashes on launch after an update. Delete Nuvio from your Home Screen and install it again from KTB. You may need to sign in again afterwards.
- A feature you used has moved or changed. Check the Nuvio developer’s release notes; we install the official builds as published.

Is Nuvio free?
The Nuvio app is free and open source. The KTB subscription pays for installing it on your Apple device and keeping it signed.
Do you help with Nuvio add-ons or content sources?
No. KTB installs the Nuvio app only. We do not provide, recommend or support add-ons, streams or content sources. Use Nuvio only with content and services you are authorised to access.
Can I install Kodi or Stremio as well?
